On Monday January 16th we had a full house of people joining our afterwork event at Paul Wurth InCub to celebrate WIDE first 2017 event with the participation of Luxinnovation and Mathilde Argaud. Here are the 5 reasons you should have been there !

1- Discovering the New indutech incubator : InCub @ Paul Wurth

Paul Wurth InCub is devoted to support new entrepreneurs in the industrial technologies sector, by providing Paul Wurth’s international expertise and explore new market opportunities together. Their beautiful premises are brand new and already hosts several startups !

2- Meeting and learning from Mathilde Argaud, founder of “LargoWind”

What if you could keep a constant eye on your boat left alone miles away in the harbour? If you could feel the heartbeat of your boat right in your pocket ? Well, stop worrying today! Mathilde and her team developed an innovative solution, the unique connected object that enables you to trace your boat activity “Connected Rope”. Listening to her “sailing” thru startup entrepreneurship was very inspiring !

3- Celebrating WIDE’s new identity and initiatives

Marie-Adélaïde Gervis and Marina Andrieu, the co-founders of WIDE explained their mission and vision for the organisation. The organisaton is now clearly  recognized as a key player in the participation and visibility of women in the IT and digital sectors. WIDE will focus on offering initiatives tailored to the need of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, especially in the field of education, digital skills and entrepreneurship. For this first semester 2017, WIDE has already planned numerous activities such as workshops with leading startups, participation to European projects as well as specific events for Women International Day.

4- Knowing more about the Luxinnovation “Fit 4 Start” program  by Antoine Hron

Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research Luxinnovation offers a wide range of integrated and personalized services, which are based on a sectoral approach and provided free of charge to businesses of any size, to innovative start-ups and to public research organisations. After all those gripping presentations, our participants all gathered together around nice snacks and drinks, meeting new people, sharing their impression of the speeches. Quite a number of them gave us positive feedbacks !  While several confirmed that they attend with an startup idea in mind, all said they will be interested in attending similar events in the near future.
