In September 2026, WIDE ANDCO and the winning team from Luxembourg took part in the international pitching competition of the Erasmus+ EmpowerHER project in Brussels. It was a fantastic opportunity for young women from Luxembourg, Poland, Spain and Cyprus to meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another while developing their entrepreneurial skills.
Representing Luxembourg, Amélie and Hayun from the International School of Luxembourg (ISL) joined the other finalists for a week dedicated to entrepreneurship, collaboration and personal growth. Beyond the competition itself, the event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with girls from across Europe who share an interest in entrepreneurship and are eager to turn their ideas into reality.
Developing ideas and learning from each other
Throughout the week, participants had the chance to present their business ideas, receive additional advice and feedback, and further refine their pitches ahead of the final competition. Working on their presentations helped them clarify their messages, strengthen their arguments and build confidence in communicating their ideas.
The programme also encouraged participants to share their experiences, discover different perspectives and create new connections across countries. Meeting other young women with similar ambitions made the experience especially valuable, demonstrating how international exchanges can inspire new ideas and create a sense of community.
Beyond the pitching sessions, participants also explored Brussels and visited the European Commission’s museum, discovering more about Europe and its institutions while enjoying time together outside the competition.
A memorable experience for the Luxembourg team
We are delighted that Amélie and Hayun won the international pitching competition with their well-developed business idea. Congratulations to both of them! Their achievement was a wonderful way to conclude a week filled with learning, teamwork and new experiences.
We would also like to congratulate all the participants for their engagement and creativity, and thank everyone involved in making this international gathering such a positive experience.
The Brussels final was organised as part of EmpowerHER, an Erasmus+ project supporting young people, particularly young women, in developing their entrepreneurial skills, building confidence and bringing their ideas to life. By creating opportunities for girls from different European countries to meet, learn and grow together, the project helps them see entrepreneurship as a path they can pursue.
