European Day for Women in Digital is initiated by the European Commission in collaboration with several member states, to raise awareness towards the opportunities for women in the digital field.
For this first edition, we partnered with “Ministère de l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes” (MEGA) and Digital Luxembourg.
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, and Minister of Equality between Women and Men Taina Bofferding, fully support this awareness campaign, which encourages women interested in technology to take an active role in this field and learn more about exciting new professional opportunities.

On April 22nd, we organised a live panel that welcomes experts from the local IT sector for a discussion on the importance of involving more women in tech and concrete actions that can be taken to see more diversity. Guest speakers included Jelena Zelenovic, Senior Head, CISO & OpRisk at the European Investment Bank (BEI), George Bock, Founder, and CEO at invesTRe, and Nancy Theis from POST Luxembourg.
