Web development for (future) women entrepreneurs with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg

From the 19th to the 23rd of February 2018, 15 women took part in our last training called: Web development for (future) women entrepreneurs. This training couldn’t have been held without the support of the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg.

During a week these women with different backgrounds have been taught the basis of Ruby, HTML, and CSS thanks to their three trainers, in order to create an App by the end of the week.

The week started with an introduction of the different tools needed such as Atom, Terminal, and GitHub as well as with some exercises in order to get acquainted with these tools. The following days were dedicated to the creation of the app itself. The trainers provided them with advice and solutions when encountering a problem. After many hours of coding, they all managed to create their own App.

It was the first time for WIDE to organize an entire week training and it resulted in a real success. Everyone really enjoyed the training and all of them learned valuable things for their future. They thanked the coaches for their patience and professionalism as well as WIDE for the organization. Many of them agreed on saying that another session should be held to develop more the competence acquired.
