Earlier this month, WIDE ANDCO selected three youth workers from Luxembourg to take part in a Mobility in Rome. This week long training programme was organised in the framework of the Erasmus+ project AI WOMEN: Youth Workers, Female Migrant Entrepreneurs” and coordinated by the organisation Women Awareness
The AI WOMEN training in Rome brought together youth workers from across Europe for a week of learning, collaboration, and inspiration. From the very first day, participants were welcomed to an enriching experience designed to equip them with AI-driven tools and mentoring techniques to support young migrant women in entrepreneurship. The programme blended theoretical input, case studies, and hands-on workshops, creating a dynamic learning environment where knowledge could be transformed into practical skills.
Throughout the sessions, participants explored mentoring techniques such as active listening and empathy, setting clear goals and action plans, sharing experiences…, project management, problem and strategy analysis, and studied successful cases dedicated to empowering migrant women.
They also engaged in interactive workshops on AI fundamentals, learning about AI methods, data, and applications in real-life contexts, while experimenting directly with online AI tools. Guided by experts, the youth workers collaborated in teams to design project ideas, develop communication materials, and finally craft a comprehensive toolkit that reflects the knowledge and skills gained during the training.
The programme culminated with the presentation of the toolkit and a certificate ceremony, celebrating the dedication and effort of all participants. Beyond the structured sessions, the training fostered intercultural dialogue, networking, and a sense of community, making the experience both professionally valuable and personally meaningful. With new skills, resources, and connections, participants left Rome ready to promote inclusion, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation in their own communities.
By the end of the training, participants returned home equipped with practical tools, innovative methods, and renewed confidence to support young migrant women in their entrepreneurial journeys. The knowledge gained—ranging from mentoring techniques and project management to the use of AI tools—will allow them to better guide, inspire, and empower women migrants entrepreneurs. Most importantly, they left with a shared commitment to fostering inclusion, dialogue, and equal opportunities, ensuring that the impact of this experience extends well beyond the training week in Rome.
