This September, in Greece, on the coast of Thessaloniki, 24 specialists from 8 NGOs enhanced their skills in the digital field. The knowledge they gained at this training, is going to help them achieve a bigger impact in the field they are coming from, like gender, entrepreneurship, youth education and exchange.
The training has officially started with an introduction key note, from Marina Thiriet, the director of Women in Digital Empowerment, Luxembourg. I. The continuation of this, Ana Mirza, the official representative of INVENTO, one of the host organizations, had a brief presentation about the 1st part of the training course, held in Chisinau, Moldova. The presentations reflected what the participants had learned during their first mobility: building online channels for internal communication, using platforms for project management and collaborative work, making crowdfunding campaigns, creating digital communication plans and graphic designs for promoting projects and social initiatives.
After the introductory notes, the floor was open for the participants and their presentations about what they have learned and implemented as follow-up projects after the training course in Moldova. Lively infographics and posters, a logo for a new NGO, a weekend school on Digital Skills, courses in digital content for teenagers – these are just some the examples how good practices could spread around NGOs.
The second day of the training in Thessaloniki was a bit more different, as the participants had the unique chance to learn about 3D design by using free platforms as Tinkercad, while the 2nd part of the day was dedicated to Arduino, an open-source electronic prototyping platform enabling users to create interactive electronic objects. These activities were held with the help of the trainer Theodor Kourkoubinis from ActArt, Greece.
The last project’s activity was the Project Lab, where the youth workers could exchange information and best practices in the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The participants focused on future Erasmus+ projects and various follow-up collaborations. In the official ending part of the project, the participants presented their projects’ ideas and impressions in regard to the training: “I got a lot of interesting knowledge in the digital skills field, as well as an insight of the project writing process and lastly, but not the least, I met a lot of interesting people I can partnership with in the future”, mentioned Albena Parashikova from Bulgaria.
“E-skills for Impact” is an Erasmus+ mobility project, implemented by Women in Digital Empowerment (WIDE) Luxembourg, ActArt Greece, INVENTO Chisinau, in partnership with five financed by the European Commission, within the Erasmus+ program.
