Girls in ICT goes virtual!
So save the date for our special Webinar Event on Girls in ICT Day on the 23rd of April.
Organised worldwide by the International Telecommunications Union, a specialized agency of the United Nations, Girls in ICT is an opportunity to discover the existing possibilities in the field of information technology.
Co-organised by WIDE and Golden Z Young Luxembourg, the event will be online this year. The major theme will be the use of technologies and data analysis in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The following speakers will participate:
- Amal Tawakuli, researcher at the University of Luxembourg in the field of data science
- Blanca Martìnez de Aragón and Belén Díaz-Mor, telecom engineers and creators of https://helpcovid19.lu
Men and women are both welcome to participate in this free event.
The activity is designed for an audience of 15 years and older, no specific knowledge is required. The webinar will be given in English.
The event will be followed by a campaign on social media with interviews with women studying and working in the fields of new technologies and IT.
