Since September 2017, WIDE has been involved in Gender4STEM, an Erasmus+ project in the field of school education coordinated by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

During this project, we have managed to create a new, innovative tool to increase gender awareness in teaching STEM in school. You can visit the website dedicated to the project for more information on the tool.

First, the project started with:

Gender4STEM brought together six partners:

Together, we put together our expertise in gender issues, e-learning and teaching, and technology Research & Development to contribute to bringing new solutions to reduce the gender gap in STEM, especially for the purpose of being used in the context of secondary education. Thus, the Gender4STEM best practices booklet has been designed. It includes a collection of best teaching practices, with various resources created by the partners of the Gender4Stem project. The aim is to generate more gender-fair teaching practices and to raise awareness of the existing stereotypes that both girls and women are facing in STEM fields.

Finally, to close the project successfully, the Gender4STEM final conference was held on the 16th of January 2020. Read more about it here.
